IKEA Redesign

Brand Identity • Web Design • Concept Development

This project was developed as part of my studies in Computer Science & Design in a team project during the 2nd semester. Our task: to rethink and redesign an iconic brand — IKEA — for a future where living on other planets is not science fiction, but reality.

The Challenge
IKEA wanted to reimagine its brand in light of a visionary new mission:
We set out to create a new visual identity that reflects IKEA’s futuristic vision. This included a redesigned website, an updated logo tailored to its new role as a spacefaring organization, and a carefully chosen typography system that feels both futuristic and familiar. We also developed product imagery using generative AI, showcasing IKEA furniture adapted for life on Mars and Neptune.
Our goal was to modernize IKEA’s appearance while preserving its recognizability — presenting a brand that feels at home, even on other planets.
